June the 21st was the summer solstice.
The longest day of the year.
A time to languish in parks, walk up hills to see the sunset, or sit out in the garden until late.
Although that wasn’t quite how it worked out – not in my part of the country anyway.
As I looked out at the torrential rain hammering our window, I thought, “oh well, that’s British summertime for you”.
But it didn’t really matter to me…
You see, I do something a bit unusual around the time of the summer solstice.
And it’s something I recommend you do as well.
I use the halfway point of the year to make plans.
Proper, concrete plans for my business projects for the next six months.
Which was why the rain didn’t bother me on Monday, because I was cosy in my house, getting excited about what was coming up.
You see, while we traditionally think of January 1st or the beginning of September as the times for planning, a mid-year audit is a great idea!
Because by the time September comes around, it’s better to have your autumn planned already, so you can get stuck in.
And it means you can do some of the groundwork for your Autumn push over the summer, whenever you have some time free.
You should try it this year and see if it gives you an advantage.
To help you, I’d like to offer you my Ultimate Planning Workbook.
You can download it for free here: Access the Planner.
Don’t worry, you don’t have to sign up for it, or opt into anything to get it – it’s my gift to you.
How This Planner Works
A lot of people make very grand plans that never come to fruition.
And the reason, usually, is that they think of some huge goal they want to reach, but don’t put the steps in place to get there.
What happens then is that the goal becomes too daunting, too unreachable, and they end up drifting off the path or giving up entirely.
Or the opposite happens…
People start thinking about a project without having a big life goal in mind that will keep them heading in the right direction.
You need to have a really good core reason WHY you are doing something and WHERE you want to end up ultimately.
Then you need to break down that huge ambition into small, achievable steps.
My Ultimate Planning Workbook shows you how to do this, step-by-step.
You’ll discover:
- How to plan properly for a large project (like creating a course).
- How to set firm targets and goals that motivate you to keep going.
- How to prioritise your tasks and schedule them in a way that makes them easily achievable.
These are the techniques I use myself to plan my courses and other business projects.
And they work no matter what time of year you start.
A Great Way to Take Control in a Chaotic World
While you might think that September or even January is the time to download something like this, I honestly recommend you put some plans in place over July.
Yes, it bucks the trend but we don’t always need to follow the crowd, do we? 😉
I know that it’s hard to plan when we keep seeing news of ‘third waves’ and ‘a difficult autumn ahead’ – but there is no point in worrying about things you cannot control.
Yes, the world is chaotic right now and might be for the foreseeable future.
But what you CAN control is your own financial destiny through the creation of an online course.
That’s because even if we do return to some of the old restrictions, you can build a course at home, using just your computer and what you already know.
What’s more, you’ll be creating a positive future for yourself, in which you may be far more protected against global crises.
Just imagine… your own source of online income, from your very own product, which you can deliver digitally to anyone, anywhere in the world.
That’s quite an advantage to have in times like these.
However, it begins with the planning phase, which you could start right now, and get the jump on your rivals!
